“My New Year’s resolution is [making sure] Jennifer Lawrence grows up and realizes how lucky she is and calms down," Rivers told PageSix Dec. 25.

Joan said Lawrence is being hypocritical by holding herself out as a body-image role model when her photos in magazine spreads and ad campaigns are Photoshopped.

“I love that she’s telling everyone how wrong it is to worry about retouching and body image," said Rivers. "Meanwhile, she has been touched up more than a choir boy at the Vatican. Look at her posters. She doesn’t have a nose, she has two holes. She just has to learn: Don’t talk if you’re doing it.”

Meanwhile, Jennifer has previously admitted she was Photoshopped in her Christian Dior ad campaign, and said editing made her look better than she does in real life. "Of course it’s Photoshop!" said Lawrence. "People don’t look like that."

Lawrence, 23, recently made headlines after saying it should be illegal to fat-shame people on TV because it sends the wrong message to young people and can contribute to poor self-esteem.

The "Hunger Games" beauty specifically took aim at Rivers, who comments on celebrities' bodies and fashion style on her weekly TV show. Lawrence said negative body talk, especially by the media, promotes poor self-esteem and weight-bullying.

"I just think it should be illegal to call somebody fat on TV," said Jennifer. "Why is humiliating people funny? If we're regulating cigarettes and sex and cuss words because of the effect it has on our younger generation, why aren't we regulating things like calling people fat?"

Lawrence, who was fat-shamed earlier in her career, has vowed never to diet just because a film exec tells her to lose weight.

"Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn’t lose a certain amount of weight," she said. "I was a little girl. I was hurt. If anybody even tries to whisper the word ‘diet,’ I’m like, ‘You can go f*ck yourself.’ "
