When it comes to the Holocaust, there isn’t anything funny about it, unless you’re Joan Rivers. River’s is continuing to offend people by refusing to apologize for the joke and by keeping the joke going.
On Friday, Joan Rivers and daughter Melissa Rivers were together when Joan cut off a piece of her hair. Then Rivers held the hair under her nose in order to imitate Adolf Hitler’s mustache.
The joke that went way wrong occurred last Monday on an episode of E!’s Fashion Police. Joan Rivers made a joke about Heidi Klum’s dress she wore to the Oscars.
Speaking about the dress, Joan said, “The last time a German looked this hot was when they were pushing Jews into the ovens.” The joke aimed at the Holocaust caused outrage with the people in the world who feel the Holocaust is a time that should be joke free due to the massive loss of life.
Rivers was contacted by the Anti-Defamation League. They were demanding that she issue an apology.
Joan Rivers however, has refused to apologize by saying it’s a joke. “It’s a joke. It didn’t bother Heidi, doesn’t bother me.”
