"Mad Diva" chronicles Rivers' experiences after receiving a diary from her daughter for the holidays and documents her travels to Mexico, and all throughout the United States, all the while, pointing out celebrity flaws.
At the signing in New York, Rivers had to fend off fur protesters, answer questions from her adoring fans, and even stepped up to the plate when an audience member asked if she could marry him and his partner, Rivers' second wedding nuptials ever (parts of the ceremony were broadcast on Entertainment Tonight). Boston Fashion Examiner Jimmy Guzman grabbed the mic when the opportunity presented itself and asked Rivers the question she made famous by hosting Hollywood red carpets: Who are you wearing?
She responded: "Chanel pants, Chanel Shoes, a very old Dolce & Gabbana blazer, and, of course, my QVC jewelry."
Rivers is an Emmy Award-winning TV host, Tony-nominated actress, and CEO, and is regarded as an icon of American culture.
