Earlier this year, Boston-based photographer Dan Minicucci organized and led a photoshoot that included makeup, and hairstyling, by Mariell Johnson, modeling by Olea Nickitina, and a floral headdress designed by JNG | Creations.
The photos, which translate beautifully into a mirage of images that remind us of the beauty of spring, prepare us for the unfolding of a better, warmer, and more calming horizon. The headpiece, interwoven skillfully in Nickitina's hair by Johnson, embodies hues of purples, pinks, and blues, accented by Johnson's use of similar hues in the makeup applied to Nickitina's face.
Minicucci's skill as a photographer derive from his ability to perfectly frame a subject in the context of place, and then capture a new essence in its image. Fun, sensual, and engaging, the photos are frame-able, and many are worthy of being displayed in a prominent spot in your home.
