J.K. Rowling's publishing company, Mulholland Books, announced this morning, Feb. 18 that she will be releasing a sequal to "The Cuckoo's Calling" that she wrote under her pseudonym, Robert Galbraith, this coming June. It is titled "The Silkworm" and will be released On June 19 in the UK and June 24 in the US.

"The Cuckoo's Calling" is described as a gum shoe detective that came back from the war with only one leg. He is barely making it in the detective world. Then a case walks through the door and changes everything in Cormoran Strike's world.

"The Silkworm's" official synopsis is this, “When novelist Owen Quine goes missing, his wife calls in private detective Cormoran Strike. At first, Mrs. Quine just thinks her husband has gone off by himself for a few days—as he has done before—and she wants Strike to find him and bring him home.

But as Strike investigates, it becomes clear that there is more to Quine’s disappearance than his wife realizes. The novelist has just completed a manuscript featuring poisonous pen-portraits of almost everyone he knows. If the novel were to be published, it would ruin lives—meaning that there are a lot of people who might want him silenced.

When Quine is found brutally murdered under bizarre circumstances, it becomes a race against time to understand the motivation of a ruthless killer, a killer unlike any Strike has encountered before …”

When "The Cuckoo's Calling" was revealed to be JK Rowling writing under a pseudonym, the book sales soared. Will the fact that this is JK's newest book help make this book as much of a success as the first?
