At the annual D.I.C.E. Summit, Valve's Gabe Newell, and award winning director JJ Abrams presented the opening keynote discussion on Wednesday. During the discussion, they announced that they would be working together in order to make video game and movies, with the video games "Portal" and "Half-Life" being specifically mentioned.
Abrams: There's an idea we have for a game that we'd like to work with Valve on.
Newell: We're going to find out if there's a way we can work with you on a "Portal" and "Half-Life" movie.
JJ Abrams made headlines recently after it was announced that he would be directing the upcoming seventh episode in the "Star Wars" saga. With today's announcement, Abrams has moved one step closer to completing his collection of things geeks love. This is a good thing.
