Kjazz 88.1 is having their annual Jingle Jazz Concert this Sunday, December 8th at the El Ray Theatre, along the Miracle Mile in Los Angeles. If you are still in your Thanksgiving turkey food coma, then you missed your chance to attend this years event. The festival is sold out, but don't lose your Holiday cheer just yet! You can listen to KJazz 88.1 all through the holidays where they will be playing all styles of Jazz and Blues with a few Christmas classics thrown in for flavor. And who doesn't like a little flavor around Christmas time?
Be sure to grab a bite to eat before the event, but save that thirst for a beer or wine for the El Ray Theatre. The theatre has a fully functioning bar but remember to bring your ID or else you won't be able to enjoy your favorite cabernet while listing to some tasty tunes. Those of you lucky enough to attend the event will be in the vibrant presence of Kenny Burrell, Luther Hughes, and the Cannonball/Coaltrane Project. With special guests, Barbara Morrison opening the concert.
It is not confirmed, but a little birdie told me that if you listen to Kjazz 88.1 FM this week before the concert, you may score a couple free tickets if you are the lucky caller. Good luck and happy holidays!
