For guests visiting the Magic Kingdom to celebrate New Year’s Eve today it is the last day to experience the Jingle Cruise in Adventureland. The Jingle Cruise is the holiday makeover of the popular Jungle Cruise ride that debuted at the Magic Kingdom when it opened in 1971.
Many of the holiday decorations were made to the guest que areas. The boats also received new names. The skippers used what they had on hand to change the boat names. Holiday boxers were haphazardly strung over the old boat names. The boxers were made into new boat sign’s with the help of magic markers and the skipper’s creativity.
The biggest changes come to the storyline. The skippers have added new holiday cheer, puns and jokes to go allow with the iconic storyline of the current ride spiel. Guests giggle and moan as the skipper tries to sell the new puns and jokes to the guests on board.
This classic boat ride, the Jungle Cruise, accommodates guests of all ages and has no height requirements. It is a slow moving boat ride that takes guests through the jungles of Africa and Asia as guests view realistic animatronic animals in their home environments.
Wichitans visiting the Magic Kingdom today should take the time to catch this fabulous new holiday overlay under it goes back under wraps. Many devoted Magic Kingdom guests will hope that it will reappear next holiday season.
