Jimmy Weller to make NASCAR National Series debut April 24

Although Jimmy Weller, 28, has raced at Richmond International Raceway competing in two NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, the ToyotaCare 250 on April 25th will mark his debut in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

I look forward to the race. It means a lot to me to be able to take the next step in my career and finally compete in the Nationwide Series,” he commented. “I’m also really excited that I’ll get to race at Richmond. It’s a fun track and one that I have had success at in the past.

Weller will drive SS Green Light Racing’s #55 Chevy Camaro in a joint effort between the team and Viva Motorsports according to SS Green Light owner Bobby Dotter. Jimmy has always done a great job for us in the Camping World Truck Series and I am excited to be part of this new debut.”

In addition, Viva Motorsport owner Jamie Dick expressed his own delight in his company’s new partnership. “We have always had a good relationship with SS Green Light Racing, which is located just down the road from us, and we, too, are excited about our new collaboration, and the possibilities it brings to each of our teams, as well as having the opportunity to work with great drivers like Jimmy Weller,” he exclaimed.
