ABC's Nightline, the multi-decade fixture at 11:35 P.M. weeknights, is gone as of tonight. The new tenant in that time slot for ABC is "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
Kimmel based in ABC's Hollywood studios will now be directly competing with Jay Leno, who is based in nearby Burbank, for not only viewers but A-list guests. Kimmel has booked Jennifer Aniston and the music group No Doubt for his opening night.
NBC in an effort to protect the highly profitable "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" will start Leno at 11:34 p.m.
Leno's guests are actress Emma Stone, actor Josh Gad and the musical group Whigs. David Letterman will host NBC news anchor Brian Williams and Morrissey will perform.
How will Kimmel fare in direct competition with NBC's "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" and CBS's "Late Show With David Letterman?"
Which one will you watch? Who's watching Conan?
