A new Jimmy Hoffa tip claims that the missing Teamsters Boss is buried in a shallow grave in suburban Detroit, according to a Jan. 15 Yahoo News UK report. Tony Zerilli, 85, gave cops the new Jimmy Hoffa tip.
For years, the question has been "Where is Jimmy Hoffa?" So far, nobody has found him. He disappeared in 1975 from a restaurant in Detroit. He hasn't been seen since then. Former Detroit FBI head Andrew Arena said,
"Anthony Zerilli was reputed to be the underboss of the Detroit organized crime family, so he would have been in the know."
As for Zerilli, he said,
"I would have done anything in the world to protect Jim Hoffa. Jim Hoffa to me was a gentleman, and what happened to him was as wrong as anything could be as far as I'm concerned."
Of course, he appears to be broke, so he may just be trying to make some cash off of this unsolved mystery.
Police have searched for Jimmy Hoffa unsuccessfully since 1975. The Jimmy Hoffa tip is just the latest in a long string of tips that have left authorities empty handed.
Do you think that Anthony Zerilli really knows where Jimmy Hoffa is? Should officials follow up on this tip, or is it just a waste of time and money at this point?
