Jimmy Fallon rumored to replace Jay Leno on The Tonight Show

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that in 2014, Jay Leno will be replaced as the host of The Tonight Show. According to a source, next season will be the last season with Jay Leno as the host.

The source also stated that Jimmy Fallon, who currently follows The Tonight Show with his show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon will move into the highly coveted Tonight Show hosting job.

The source stated that while NBC reps are denying that Leno is soon to be out, a source insists that the network will make the announcement during the May up fronts. That way they will be able to sell the last season of Jay Leno hosting The Tonight Show to advertisers at a premium rate.

When asked about the rumors and speculations surrounding his client, Leno’s rep stated, “We do not speculate on rumor.”
