Jimmy Fallon and Michelle Obama mom dance for 'Let's Move' campaign (Video)

Michelle Obama recently showed off her dance moves with Jimmy Fallon in an "Evolution of Mom Dancing" video as part of her "Let's Move" campaign. According to the Indianapolis Recorder on Feb. 25, Michelle Obama joined Jimmy Fallon on his "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" show for a sit down interview and a sketch performing "Evolution of Mom Dancing", a spoof of Judson Laipply's viral "Evolution of Dance" video clip.

While on the road for the third anniversary of her "Let's Move" campaign, the First Lady joined Jimmy Fallon last Friday night to talk about pop culture and her life in the White House. A sketch aired before the interview of Jimmy Fallon dressed in a wig and mom outfit with Michelle Obama performing an "Evolution of Mom Dancing" spoof. The dance was in honor of Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" campaign, which encourages physical activity for children and featured classic mom dance steps, such as "the go shopping, get groceries" move and the "driving the station wagon" move.

After the sketch, Michelle Obama talked about her husband's dancing, saying he is not as skilled a dancer as she is, and about her "Let's Move" campaign. A three year anniversary tour begins next week in Mississippi to talk about the success they have had in fighting obesity in children since her campaign began. She chose Mississippi to kick start her tour because three years ago when the "Let's Move" campaign was launched, Mississippi was labeled the least healthy state in the United States. However, just within the last year, Mississippi's childhood obesity rate has declined by 13 percent.

Michelle also pointed out during the interview that, according to a study done by the CDC, children all over the nation are consuming fewer calories in this decade than in the last decade. That's good news, she said, but we still have work to do.
