We all know him as Sheldon, this generation's Felix Unger, from the hit TV series The Big Bang Theory, but actor Jim Parsons may be considered for a more fast-paced roll according to some Hollywood insiders.
Yes, Parsons may play everyone's favorite know-it-all every week on the small screen, but the actor is rumored to be under consideration to play the Flash on the big screen. Fans who watch The Big Bang Theory regularly know that Sheldon loves the scarlet speedster— so much so that he's often dressed up as the super-hero and often wears shirts with the character's image on them.
However actor Jim Parsons knows very little about the character and said at a recent Paley Fest event that he would need to "study up on the Flash". "I know that he's red and gold and moves quickly," the actor told reporters at the event. "But I do have a theory that a lot of times, actors do their best work when they are playing characters that they know little-to-nothing about—at first."
Writer Greg Berlanti (TV's Arrow) is writing the script and so far, the studio has not made any casting announcements. The Flash is slated for a release date sometime next year.
So would Jim Parsons make a great Flash or is this all just a flash-in-the-pan? What do you think. Please let us know.
