Reports of a Jim Kowalski plane crash are inaccurate, according to a Sept. 6 Inquisitor report. Jim Kowalski did die, but the circumstances of the plane crash and his death are cloudy.
According to family spokeswoman Deb Kowalski
"It was not a crash… and we don't exactly know how it happened."
Jim Kowalski's death is under investigation. It seems he was with a friend on a fishing trip, and the friend heard a noise, and Jim Kowalski was gone. That is certainly a very strange circumstance that happened in Ontario, Canada.
Ontario Provincial Constable David Lamme said,
"A report late Thursday night from Ontario Provincial Police indicated Kowalski was outside the Cessna float plane as it was taxiing to shore on an isolated lake, about 20 miles south of the town of Red Lake and nearly 300 miles northwest of Thunder Bay. The investigation is ongoing and the cause of death hasn't been determined."
It seems the popular grocery store chain Kowalski's founder was in a plane, and he somehow may have fallen from the plane? So far authorities have not determined the cause of his death, but it is likely that a Jim Kowalski plane crash is not the most accurate explanation of his death. Even so, it is an aircraft related fatality, but not a plane crash death.
One this is absolutely certain, Jim Kowalski's death came as a huge shock to his friends, family, and even business rivals. He was a well respected businessman, and he will truly be missed. He built his grocery chain into an incredibly successful, family-owned business over the past two decades.
