Jim Florentine to perform in Artie Lange's place at Comix

The ultra-hip New York City comedy club Comix Comedy Nightclub is now advertising that friend of the Howard Stern Show Jim Florentine will be taking Artie Lange's place in Thursday's night's scheduled showcase.  Artie Lange was ordered to stay home from work by Sirius XM management on Monday, and many Howard Stern Show fans wondered if he would still try to pull off his scheduled stand-up set at Comix at the end of the week.

The Comix website is now advertising that the December 17th show will feature a 25 minute set by Jim Florentine followed by a live psychotherapy session between comic Joe Matarese and Dr. Matt Bellace.  Artie Lange was supposed to be the subject of the comedic psychoanalysis, but it looks like the Howard Stern Show's favorite severely depressed "baby gorilla" will be spending Thursday night in bed with a vat of broccoli rabe and his hot tanning salon girlfriend.

Tickets for the Comix Jim Florentine show have been reduced to $10 each from the original price of $35 for the Artie Lange show.  Fans who have purchased tickets for the Artie Lange show are eligible for a full refund, or have the option to get a partial refund and come see the Florentine show for the reduced price.

For tickets, check out the Comix website or call Comix Comedy Nightclub at 212-524-2500
