Jim Carrey (“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”) seems to be going out of his way to get out of the family friendly movie Hell he had sank into (“Mr. Popper’s Penguins…” Really?).
Collider is reporting today that Jim Carrey has signed on to star in Jared Hess’ (“Napolean Dynamite”) upcoming action/comedy “Loomis Fargo.”
Inspired by true events, the film tells the story of a disgruntled bank employee (Carrey) who teams up with his work crush to conspire to rob Loomis Fargo.
Lorne Michaels and John Goldwyn (“Baby Mama”) will produce alongside Danny McBride (“Your Highness”), who might also cameo in the film.
It’s nice to see Carrey heading back into the territory that made him famous, and with his upcoming slate of films (“The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” and “Kick-Ass 2” especially) I think this is the definition of a comeback.
