Jim Carrey on board for 'Dumb and Dumber' 2 again: 'Jeff and I are raring to go'

The 1994 classic movie, ‘Dumb and Dumber’ just may be one of the funniest movies of all time. With quirky lines, disastrous adventures, and non-stop idiocy, the Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniel’s hit has undoubtedly had serious staying power in the entertainment world. When talks of a sequel arose, fans couldn’t have been more excited. However, their hopes were soon dashed when “Lloyd Christmas,” Jim Carrey reportedly dropped out of the follow-up. However, according to an E! Online article dated Sat. Mar. 9, Carey is not only still on board, but also excited about it.

“I’m ready. There is a script. It’s fun. Jeff and I are raring to go,” Carrey revealed to E! Online.

Fans of the Farrelly hit of course want to know why there is a delay. The fact that there isn't a "start date" is keeping hopefuls on the edge of their seats.

“It’s administrative. The green light committees have to have their way,” said Carrey.

Almost 20 years since the original laugh fest was released, it makes sense that some of the newer stars of today will likely co-star alongside Carrey and Daniel.

Writer-director Peter Farrelly has hinted that he would like to see Channing Tatum in this new film. He also went on to share that Emma Stone would “knock it out of the park” in the role of a “young dumb girl.”

Carrey famously raved about his infatuation for Ms. Stone a couple years back, but later explained that he was just having fun. Stone herself was just fine with the compliments, and told New York magazine she was flattered by the message.

How does Carrey feel about the possibility of Tatum and Stone joining the roster?
“That would be great. That would be awesome,” he told E! Online.

IMDb offers a short teaser to what the plot may possibly be, "20 years after the dimwits set out on their first adventure, they head out in search of one of their long lost children in the hope of gaining a new kidney."

Now for some additional questions: Will Lauren Holly “Mary Samponsonite”…..oops, Swanson make an appearance in the sequel? Will Lloyd still rave that he still has a chance with her even if it is only one-in-a-million? Will the location be in Aspen, and will the bright colored suits, and IOU’s return? There’s only one way to find out: If the sequel actually happens this time! Stay tuned, Sampsonites!
