Jim Carrey's weight gain for Three Stooges movie role

Actor Jim Carrey is on a mission to gain 50 pounds for his role in the upcoming Three Stooges movie.

He'll be playing Curly (nyuk, nyuk, nyuk).

He showed off his portlier physique at a benefit last week in Los Angeles.

His partner, actress/author Jenny McCarthy, told the TV show Access Hollywood back in April:

"He said, 'You know, I'm going to have to gain 40-50 pounds for this role.' And I said, 'Oh my God! I get to be dating Curly!' That is the greatest thing ever."

No word on how much the beard weighs.

The movie is slated for a 2010 release.

    Jim Carrey as Curly will ruin this movie, no matter how much weight he gains. If they insist on using Carrey, he should play Shemp. If they want to have a movie with Curly, they need to use Bill Chott.
