If you've watched The Weather Channel during any major weather event, you know who Jim Cantore is. On Tuesday, January 28, 2014, one young man learned the hard way not to get in Cantore's way during live filming.
Wherever the worst forecast is, that's where you always find Cantore. When there's a hurricane, Cantore can be found holding onto a lamppost as the wild winds blow.
During flooding, tornadoes and other weather events, Cantore is always on the scene. So it is no surprise to find Cantore on the scene in Charleston, S.C., where Winter Storm Leon is expected to bring significant icing overnight.
Cantore always adds a lot of drama to his live weather shots, but this time he has a little help with the drama. As Cantore is doing a live update from the College of Charleston, a young man can be heard shouting.
A moment later, the man rushes toward Cantore. Without missing a beat, Cantore knees the young man in the groin and continues the live shot.
The young man runs off, still shouting. Cantore jokes, "Obviously, here at the College of Charleston they are already having a good time."
Whether you're 15 or 50, you will probably offer Cantore a mental high five for keeping his cool and continuing the broadcast.
The National Weather Service has issued winter storm warnings and advisories from Texas across the Gulf Coast and up the East Coast.
Winter Storm Leon has already slammed the Deep South with heavy snow, freezing rain and sleet. The winter weather is expected to continue through Tuesday night and into Wednesday.
Keep an eye on Jim Cantore as he faces Winter Storm Leon and rabid fans live from Charleston, S.C.
