Jillian Barberie won't 'pull an Artie Lange'
Good Day L.A. co-host and friend of The Howard Stern Show Jillan Barberie has coined a phrase in honor of Howard Stern Show co-host Artie Lange. Artie Lange's series of unexplained absences from the Howard Stern Show this week lead Jillian Barberie to start referring to the practice of skipping out on work as pulling "an Artie Lange."
Jillian Barberie, who is currently pregnant with her second child, was receiving kudos from her Good Day L.A. co-host Steve Edwards for showing up to work "like a trooper" despite her delicate condition. Barberie responded that she was "no Artie Lange" and promised to keep showing up for work until her doctors ordered her against it. Jillian Barberie, 42, has spent portion of her pregnancy on bed rest due to the complications that regularly accompany pregnancies in women over age 35.
The is no current Urban Dictionary entry for "Artie Lange" as a verb, but the popular online vernacular guide does currently list a noun form of "Artie Lange". UrbanDictionary.com defines "Artie Lange" as a term used to describe a "Degenerate gambler, whoremonger, and boozer."
Artie Lange was absent from the Howard Stern Show for three days last week, fueling rumors that he may have relapsed into drug and alcohol addiction. Artie Lange texted Howard Stern Show producer Gary "Baba Booey" Dell'Abate that he was sick with the flu, but planned to return to work on Monday morning.

I think "report this" only read the first sentence. I think "pulling an Artie Lange" is hilarious.
