According to reports on Jan 22, 2013, Jill Kelley was not the first person to see the anonymous email, which destroyed her luxurious life as a socialite. It was alleged that the wealthy Tampa socialite is the person who forged friendships with America’s two top generals.
According to Kelley, she got to know about the mysterious emails from her husband. It was Scott, Kelley’s husband who opened the email on his iPhone under an account that they share just minutes before boarding a plane. Kelley also stated that she was petrified last summer when her husband told her about the email.
Breaking her silence after three months of the David Petraeus scandal, Kelley said she was threatened, blackmailed and extorted in the note and the volley thereafter.
It was later that Kelley came to know that these emails were from none other than Paula Broadway. Broadway’s affair with the general let to his resignation as CIA director.
In fact, according to Kelley, she couldn’t even guess that the one writing the emails was a female.
