Jill and Derick Dillard have certainly been in the news a lot these days. After a speedy courtship, the happy couple tied the knot in June, and announced their pregnancy shortly after. In an interview with ABC News last week, the mom-to-be dished about pregnancy and all that goes with it.
"I've been having a lot of morning sickness. They should call it 'pregnancy sickness' because it's all day, but I'm feeling good today!" Jill told ABC News. "I'm thanking God for this little life and the good signs. It's well worth it."
The '19 Kids & Counting' star has however been pampered by her loving husband. He keeps a "pregnancy bag" on hand at all times, which is packed with foods she might want. Like most pregnant women, Jill has some specific cravings.
"[Like my mother, I crave] things that are more sour to settle stomach: dill pickles, lemon with salt or lemon juice with water or salt," she said, adding that she keeps nuts on-hand at all times. "I like cold things [too]. I don't like a lot of hot meals right now but I do try to get protein every two hours."
Aside from staying well fed, Jill and Derick are discussing names for boys, girls, and even twins. The upcoming gender will be revealed on an upcoming episode on TLC, which airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
"We're still pretty early right now but we’re thinking we may not do a letter theme," the mom-to-be revealed. "Maybe we'll do some other kind of theme!"
Though the name might be a surprise, Jill's choice of having a natural birth at home with the help of a midwife may not shock many, as it seems like the Duggar thing to do!
"I feel like it will be way more relaxing... and having the baby at home with a midwife provides more of that personal care," she said, adding that she lives down the street from a hospital, should she need to get there in a hurry. "It’s more intimate for the couple as well, getting to be in your own environment."
Jessa Duggar and fiance Ben Seewald have also been in the news as they recently announced their engagement. Ben also just moved into the family guesthouse (separate living quarters) to assist Jim-Bob with some work and to further develop his bond with the family. For tips on 'courtships' and relationships, several of the Duggar girls have co-authored the book, "Growing Up Duggar."
