So Says Anwar Al-Awlaqi, U.S. Born Cleric
Al-Awlaqi, an American born cleric who has been cited as an influence on several of the September 11th hijackers, and more recently attempted Christmas Day bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and army base killer Major Nidal Hasan, made these comments in an unauthenticated message that was released on Friday according to SITE Intelligence Group:
"Jihad is becoming as American as apple pie and as British as afternoon tea,"
"Eight years after 9/11 and the declaration of war against terrorism, jihad is still reaching the shores of Europe and America. Not from the outside, but from within. Jihad is not being imported but is being homegrown,"
"The US has spent billions to protect its airlines but they couldn't prevent Umar Farouk, and the West has been profiling until 'Jihad Jane' shattered whatever trust was left in the value of profiling,"
"A blond, blue-eyed, small framed, middle-aged female. It couldn't get any further from your typical 'terrorist' profile."
These statements point out the fact that while our national security remains compromised in many quarters, President Obama, the nations Commander in Chief, continues to place all of his focus on health care legislation, while seemingly ignoring all other issues.
