One of the worst-kept secrets in auto racing has now been made official: Carl Edwards is moving to Joe Gibbs Racing in 2015. Edwards will drive the No. 19 Toyota Camry for JGR, with a 17-race sponsorship from ARRIS Group, Inc., which is a global innovator in IP, video and broadband technology. Edwards will join current JGR drivers Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin and his former Roush Fenway Racing teammate Matt Kenseth to form a four-car team.
Edwards is currently driving the No. 99 at RFR, where he has spent his entire 11-year career to date. Edwards has won 23 Sprint Cup Series races and 38 Nationwide Series race; he also won the 2007 Nationwide Series championship.
Another new face for the 2015 driving line-up is 22-year-old Daniel Suarez, who is currently competing in both the NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series and the K&N Pro Series East. The NASCAR Drive for Diversity member made his Nationwide Series debut for JGR in Richmond earlier this year, earning a 19th-place finish.
Suarez will also be sponsored by ARRIS Group, Inc. in the Nationwide Series, as well as selected Camping World Truck Series races in 2015.
