Jewel Kimberly Jordan is on a mission, to share her passion for faith and fashion.
"At 8-years-old, I remember always wanting to take out my mother's clothing for work and wanting to create my own designs," said Jordan who felt it was her calling to sell vintage clothing.
Launched in 2008, Jewel's Vintage Closet is a boutique in Brooklyn, NY that specializes in vintage women's clothing from the 1920s through the 1980s with a growing clientele of women ranging from ages 16 to 60. Jordan is a stylist, personal shopper, designer, and now trendsetter within the Seventh-day Adventist community.
From bright floral prints to solid colors, women have found Jewel's Vintage Closet as a one-stop shop where they can dress to impress for all occasions at affordable prices. Four years later and after much prayer, Jordan decided to commit full-time to her business.
"I have always been driven by what I loved and what I was passionate about so I knew it was inevitable that I would be doing this full time," said Jordan who left her occupations in education and dentistry.
"Spend your life doing what you love and what God has placed in your spirit to do. The reality is that everyone isn't going to get it, but what God has ordained for you, he will maintain it and bring it to fruition," concluded Jordan.
