If you live in the New York City or Boston area and one of your favorite travel destinations id the Lowcountry of South Carolina, you are in luck.

JetBlue Airways is stepping up to the plate.

Beginning Feb. 13, JetBlue Airways is going to invade the Lowcountry with flights into Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport from both Boston Logan and JFK.

Hilton Head Island’s Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort has accounced that they will offer a special package that combines JetBlue’s affordable fares with the best golf on the resort’s three championship golf courses, including one on the oceanfront.

This is just in time for those singing the winter blues.

“There’s no doubt that the country has had it with winter, and with the addition of JetBlue to the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, it just got a lot easier to fly to the island,” says Karen Kozemchak, director of marketing for the resort. “We wanted to welcome Bostonians and New Yorkers to our beautiful island and introduce them to the resort’s wealth of activities with this fun package that highlights our amazing golf. Plus, they can expect average highs in the mild 60’s throughout February.”

It's called the Blue & Greens package and it gives guests a nonrefundable $200 gift card good for any flight with JetBlue, 3 or more nights in a 2-bedroom vacation villa at Palmetto Dunes, two rounds of golf on any of the resort’s three award-winning golf courses, and two hours of tennis court time daily at the No. 1 tennis facility in the Carolinas, as rated by Tennis Magazine.

Those who enjoy a little two-wheel fun also get three days of bike rentals for biking on Hilton Head's 50 miles of paved bike paths.

Hilton Head Island is a top destination for family travel and there are just so many things to do.

JetBlue knows you can do it all at Palmetto Dunes.

The Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort shouldn't be missed, it is a 2,000-acre resort destination on Hilton Head Island, S.C. It was named to the top 25 World’s Best Family Getaways by Travel + Leisure in 2013. It offers three world-class golf courses, an award-winning tennis center, an 11-mile inland salt-water lagoon system for kayaking and fishing. You can also rent bikes to traverse around the property and island.
