Jet powered police car

I'd like to see an attempt to elude this jet powered police car. Packing 6,000 horsepower under the hood, this is one slick ride. This police vehicle is so sweet, the crime rate might just increase because people will be looking for anyway to ride in the back of this cruiser. Jet powered vehicles aren't new, but recently the trend towards high horsepower thrust is getting more popular. Backyard turbo jet kits are giving the average builder the ability to create miniature jet powered vehicles, meanwhile the cost of creating these thrust generated forms of transportation is dropping drastically. The backyard turbo jet isn't as powerful as what is being used in the following police car, but they still get the same goal accomplished; jet powered transportation!

Jet powered fun is a great way to get a good mechanical buzz, but let's not forget about the safety issues involved. The high temperatures of a jet engine and the amount of fuel that is needed to drive these beasts of thrust is uncanny; at anytime they can quickly become a firebomb. Proper safety precautions should be taken when constructing a jet powered vehicle. If you are unsure of building methods, you probably shouldn't even bother with constructing one of these devices.

If you're not a jet savvy mechanic, you can still pickup books and literature on the proper jet engine construction methods. There are many ways to fail, but only one way to succeed; this is a gamble you must be willing to take should you venture into the uncharted waters of amateur jet vehicle manufacturing. Will this become the mainstream cure for the oil ridden blues? I doubt it, but that shouldn't stop you from having fun and experimenting. After all, that's what living in America is all about; the freedom design, build, fail, and succeed.
