Hundreds of guests, including several celebrities who prefer their anonymity, attended the Jet Reception portion of the 2010 St. Petersburg (Florida) Festivals of Speed, April 9. Attendees got to experience a taste of celebrity lifestyle in a private jet hangar at Tampa International Airport as they toured multi-million dollar private jets and motor coaches, as well as a large array of exotic and sports cars. The latest offerings from Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Spyker, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Porsche, and other brands were represented. Unlike an auto show, potential buyers were able to sit in each product and compare them side by side.
The annual three-day event included a wine dinner and concourse-style lawn display during the course of the weekend. Other Festivals of Speed events are held in Orlando and Miami. More information is available at www.festivalsofspeed.com.
The Aston Martin of Tampa Bay and Spyker of Tampa Bay displays were a big hit, and their show partnership with the Bang & Olufsen of Tampa audio company gave the display great sound.
The display of Murcielago and Gallardo cars from Ultimate Motorworks Lamborghini Orlando was a crowd favorite.
Dew Luxury Motors brought out their Rolls-Royce Phantom and all-new Lotus Evora for the crowd to enjoy.
This incredible super-tuned Ford GT from Performance Power cranks out 1,400 horsepower and just set the 1-mile record at more than 250 MPH.
