On May 4, 2014 at approximately 4:30 p.m. three Scarborough, Ontario residents were standing on a rear deck when they spotted what appeared to be “a box or angular object” that could have been square or rectangular in shape and was “shiny” in the clear afternoon sky. According to a UFO Sightings report, the object “plummeted from above the clouds,” leaving a “thin (thread-like) smoke trail” behind it. When they caught a glimpse of it again, it moved “very slowly at cloud level.”
They then saw it travel from east to southeast and eventually trail off.
“At one point (it) went into the clouds, however we could still see the object,” one of the witnesses wrote. “It was like nothing we have seen before flying in the sky.
The witness noted that it could not be a conventional craft because at one point, it “almost hovered” for about five minutes. After that, it traveled southeast for approximately 10 minutes until they lost sight of it.
The witness added that between three and five minutes later, a “jet fighter came streaming by right over our head(s) from south to north… My guess is that the object could/would have been maybe directly above Pickering perhaps, but being it was so reflective, it could very well have been 10-20 miles out (hard to judge). Given the distance of say 5 miles, and height of at least 2,000-5,000 feet, I would say that this object was at least the size of a fighter jet, maybe larger.”
The witness also wrote that the UFO “looked to be more of a scout, agile craft, rather that the traditional ‘huge football field-type of object’ with a bunch of lights. No roundness to this that I could see, just more of a strange, maybe hexagon or non-conventional shape you would see.”

Also on May 4 at about 11:15 p.m., a Beaverton resident saw five objects flying in formation, “like geese.” According to a UFO Sightings report, www.ufoinfo.com/sightings/canada/140504.shtml the witness was letting his dog out, looked up at the sky and spotted “five lights in formation flying at high speed from east to west, flying towards Lake Simcoe.”
The witness added that two of the objects following the leader “were swerving side to side.” The object made no noise.
