It's not often that believers get to celebrate Easter in the month of March, however the year 2013 boasts some incredible entertainment to make the celebration of our Lord's Resurrection truly come alive!
On the heels of the History Channel's television series premiere, The Bible, comes the annual passion play, Jesus of Nazareth. This critically acclaimed production, directed by Steve Munsey, has gathered audiences in the thousands and attracted the attendance of celebrities, politicians and press both nationally and internationally. This year is expected to be no different as the story of Jesus Christ is told through the contributions of more than 1,000 cast and crew members.
The production was established in 1982 and the creators convey that, "Jesus of Nazareth becomes all the more relevant as time passes. While this story is two thousand years old, it is never static, but always full of life and energy."
Today is opening day with an 11:00am show time on the 150ft. stage, leaving the rest of the day for viewers to discuss their favorites scenes over an early dinner and invite their friends and family to one of the showtimes spanning each weekend in March.
Tickets are available online at jesusofnazareth.org or by calling 219-922-6500. Showtimes are March 9, 16, 22, 23, 29 & 30th at Family Christian Center, 340 W 45th Ave, Munster, Indiana.
