A Daily Word from the Word for Thursday, January 9, 2014
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” – John 1:14
“And the Word became flesh.” If this verse stopped here, it would be more than enough. But God is way more than more than enough! We serve a magnificent God, an amazing God, an Omniscient (all-knowing Father, an Omnipotent (all-powerful) Creator, and an Omnipresent (all-present) Lord. Our High King is the One True endless and searchless Most Royal and Righteous God! “And the Word became flesh…” Let that get into your spirit, my brother. Allow this to soak your very being, my sister. “And the Word became flesh…”
“Word” in the Greek is Logos (pr. Logos); and as used in this verse is “The Divine Expression (ie: Christ)” (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance). Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary defines “expression” as “something that manifests, embodies, or symbolizes something else.” Jesus Christ is the Divine Expression of God made manifest as person of the Son.
God, our Most High Father and Creator, chooses to emulate Himself as three distinct expressions: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; which is the Divine and Blessed Trinity. Luke 1:35 testifies of The Father expressed as three deities, as it proclaims “And the angel answered and said to her [Mary], ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.’”
The expression of God, God’s Word, His Utterance, was placed into the womb of the Virgin Mary, and became the person of Jesus Christ. God impregnated Mary with His Word; therefore, the Word of God, the very Expression of the Most Holy and Most High Creator, became flesh. Please allow that magnificent and monumental moment to marinate for a minute, my family. The Word became flesh. The living Word of God became alive in Mary’s womb!
And Jesus Christ, the Living Word, is still living and operating in every believer, and still activate and seeking to impregnate every one of the Father’s creation! The Greek word for “became” as used here is ginomai (pr. ghin-om-ahee), which means “to cause to be, come into being, be finished, be fulfilled.”
Here is the most amazing and mind-blowing attribute of this word. Whenever a Greek word ends in ai (pr. ahee), it is a progressive word, meaning that is it always a ‘right now’ word because it is constantly operating, is always for today, and continues to be active. The suffix ai, when attached to a word, causes it to come alive and be a right-now relevant, on time, and personal word and action which is available for every single person. Are you catching this, family? Catch hold of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! For it is salvation and power for every single person who calls on the Name of Jesus! Jesus Christ, as the expression of Holy Spirit, is actively waiting to come into being—to come into every human being.
1 John 4:4 is alive with the Word of God as it testifies “Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world!” The same Word which defeated the devil at the Cross of Calvary; the same Word which took captivity captive; this same Word which declared “IT IS FINISHED!” and caused the veil to rip in half from the top to the bottom, so that all could come boldly to the throne of grace; it is this very same alive right now Word that lives inside of every believer! And it is this same Word which ‘becomes’ over and over and over and over and over and over again: every single second of every single day to every single person who desires to become a child of the Most High King!
Overcome the world today, my brother! Take authority over that which has authority over you, my sister! Call on the wonderful, magnificent, powerful, mountain-moving, life-changing, demon-casting, Name that is above every name—the beautiful Name of Jesus Christ! Call on Him today, and let the Word impregnate you and become the Living Word of God inside of you!
Father, thank You for Your Word Who became flesh. Thank You, Most Holy and High God for Your expression as Jesus Christ, our “In the beginning,’ our “Word became flesh.” Father, we call upon You to stir up, stir up, stir up, and activate Your Living Word within us. We cry out for Your Word, Your Living Word, to leap within us! In Jesus Name, our Living Word, we thank You that our wombs, which were once dead, have been made alive with the impregnation of Your Word! Amen and Amen!
Take action! Challenge your thinking! Choose to give thanks to God every day, for His Living Word, Who lives within you as the expression of His Holy Spirit. Choose to call upon and draw upon the activation of His Word in you continually. Choose to call on the Powerful Name of Jesus throughout the day: morning, noon, and night. And continue to fight the good fight of carrying the One who carried you to the Cross; for God, Your Living Logos, has already given you the victory!
If you have never received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, I encourage you to do it today, right now, by saying this prayer out loud: “Jesus, forgive me for my sins. I am sorry. I truly desire to be saved and reconciled back to God, my Father, through You. I receive Your sinless Blood as payment in full for my sins—past, present, and future. I now call You my Lord and Savior, and invite You to live within my heart, and to permanently live within me. I make You Lord over me and over my life from this moment on. Amen.” Congratulations! You are now a child of God, made whole and made new, by the Blood of Jesus Christ!
