Proclaimed as Lord through Individual Revelations
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-11 NIV
Were this an isolated verse, we could hardly claim to be more than religious extremists who spin an entire version of religion on a single verse without further corroboration. In Romans 10:9-10 we are given conditions for our justification and salvation that include the words, Jesus is Lord.
Here the same author, Paul, adds proclamation to this statement. We receive or accept our gift of salvation in confessing out loud that Jesus is Lord. The mind can convince us of many things that may or may not be true. Stating that Jesus is Lord is more than confession, it is profession. We believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, but we must profess aloud that Jesus is Lord. Some might make this into a condition, but truly it is an epiphany or a proclamation of a revealed truth. This statement might be tentative as a standalone, but again Paul reveals to us that no one can truly state this except by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:3).
This survey explores and confirms that this is a very viable thread throughout the gospels, epistles, and eschatology of the New Testament. Decide for yourself if you agree with Dr. Rustenhaven and myself, that the message of the New Testament is JESUS IS LORD!

How about something from the Gospel of Matthew
What do you call a guy with degrees in Political Science and Biblical Studies? What do you call someone that served as a Marine Officer for over 20 years and now pastors a church? What do you call someone with this unique perspective of the kingdom of the world and the kingdom of God?
Most folks just call me Tom.
