Jessie Ware announces follow-up to debut album Devotion

After debuting new single "Tough Love," a softer hit single than what she's given us before, british R&B songstress Jessie Ware is following up her strong debut album with her second effort... Tough Love! The Billboard says that the list of producers has grown a bit larger than last time, with Benny Blanco and Two Inch Punch serving as producers of the title track, while Julio Bashmore, Dave Okumu, Kid Harpoon, James Ford and Emile Haynie. That's quite a roster of producers, especially considering the tenure of those names. But to top that off, rumors of Miguel working on the followup, as well as fellow R&B artist Blood Orange, who just happened to release a stellar R&B album in 2013, is also quoted as working on the album. The release date is TBA, and no other tour dates, etc., have been confirmed, but anticipation with a voice as memorable as hers and a roster of that caliber is great nonetheless.

Ware made a name for herself in 2012 after the release of Devotion, a clever mix of '90s R&B ballads and whatever Whitney Houston vibes she could take, but the set really elevated itself with hit single "Wildest Moments", one of the better break-up/love songs to pop up in quite some time. Now, underground artist FKA Twigs may be releasing her own brand of R&B in a week or so, but Ware could easily rise up and deliver another solid album with Tough Love. Honestly, though, what all interested listeners are getting is another great year in innovative R&B songs, and that's what makes this release one of the more anticipated in the music world.
