"Fifty Shades of Grey" news has been dominated by the comments made by Emma Watson recently. So now that the world knows she will not be playing Ana Steele the focus can move once again to who will be cast in the film, especially the role of Christian Grey. On March 19 Mstarz declared Jessie Pavelka the new favorite. His popularity was also solidified by a poll seen on Fifty Shades Examiner which shows Pavelka leading amongst other Christian Grey hopefuls including Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer.
Jessie Pavelka, 30, has a growing fan base and is currently topping a Christian Grey casting poll. His lead over Ian Somerhalder reinforces the latest trend in which the "Vampire Diaries" star is losing momentum in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" casting race. Somerhalder himself admitted last week that there are plenty of young actors vying for the role, possibly preparing fans for the announcement that he will not be cast as Christian Grey. Pavelka is currently beating out other favorites as well, Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill being the most surprising.
The Texas born Pavelka is new to the acting world but has booked small roles, his most notable in "Friday Night Lights." As a personal trainer and fitness guru he has also hosted the reality show, "Diet Tribe." Fans believe that despite his lack of acting experience he looks perfect for the part, with one fan proclaiming, "Jessie's the ONLY Christian Grey I'll accept."
Mstarz noted that Jessie Pavelka "definitely has the perfectly-chiseled body that's sure to make the ladies swoon." The aspiring actor has commented on the "Fifty Shades of Grey" casting rumors in the past and has acknowledged the tremendous support he has received.
"I think it's great and I'm extremely flattered. It's amazing how social media has changed the game in T.V. and Film. If this would have happened a few years back, I don't think that my name would be in the mix at all. I am lucky to be involved in the beginning stages of it all."
