Jessie J shaving her head became both a viral video and photo on Saturday morning, as the popular “Price Tag” singer made the bold decision to cut off all her hair for charity.
You may have thought Jessie J wore a wig, but clearly not. Jessie decided to shave her head for the charity Comic Relif.
Comic Relief is a major charity that’s based out of the UK. Their mission statement is to help create a better, more just world that has no poverty. They raise money through two major fundraising campaigns—Red Nose Day (which Jessie J participated in yesterday) and Sports Relief.
The cash that Comic Relief has brought in has been put to work in over 70 countries.
After shaving her head, Jessie J decided to hop on Instagram and post the photo to all of her followers. In it, Jessie J’s head is completely shaved, although she’s still wearing her memorable golden hoop earrings.
Along with the photo, Jessie posted the following to her fans:
“I did it! Thank you to everyone who is donating!”
