Jessica Simpson: Low carb diet and daily workouts fueled 70-pound weight loss

Jessica Simpson is thrilled after reaching her weight-loss goal, and showed off her newly slim physique in a series of candid Instagram photos she posted March 10.

In the snapshots, Simpson sports a huge smile along with her slender body, which she achieved through a low-carb Weight Watchers diet (for which she's a paid rep) and daily workouts.

Jessica has reportedly lost 70 pounds since giving birth to son Ace (in June 2013) by following a low-carb that features a mix of high-quality proteins like salmon and chicken, and lots of fresh vegetables.

Simpson said she also walks four to five miles every day (or 8,000 to 10,000 steps), does yoga, and works out with a trainer three days a week doing a combination of cardio exercise and strength-training.

The mother of two feels unstoppable now, but admits her weight gain during pregnancy made her depressed and insecure.

"I was so insecure; I couldn't even believe what I weighed," said Jessica. "I don't think I ever expected to see the numbers that I've seen on the scale."

Simpson said she's proud of all her jaw-dropping weight loss, and can't wait to show off her slimmed-down body in a form-fitting wedding dress. "When you see my dress, you’ll know [why I dieted and exercised so hard]," she said.
