Jessica Simpson wore a custom Carolina Herrera wedding dress when she married former NFL star Eric Johnson July 5, 2014 at California’s San Ysidro Ranch, People reported. Further details of Jessica's wedding dress weren't revealed, but sources said it was elegant and form-fitting.

"We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment," the newlyweds said in a statement. "To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives."

Simpson, who's divorced from singer Nick Lachey, was supposed to wed Johnson last summer, but unexpectedly got pregnant with her second child, whom she gave birth to in June 2013. Since then, Jessica has been dieting and working out rigorously to prepare for her wedding, and has reportedly lost about 70 pounds.

Simpson said fitting into her form-fitting wedding dress was her weight-loss motivation.

“Knowing that I have the wedding coming up is an incentive to stay on Weight Watchers and stay in the gym," said Simpson. "When you see my dress, you’ll know.”

Low-Carb Diet, Daily Six-Mile Walks Spurred Weight Loss

Simpson, a rep for Weight Watchers, has credited a low-carb diet and daily six-mile walks for her stunning slim-down. Jessica also does yoga at home and works out at the gym for 45 minutes, four days a week, with her longtime trainer Harley Pasternak.

Harley said Jessica's workouts combine 10 to 20 minutes of cardio exercise, 20 to 30 minutes of resistance training, and lots of flexibility moves. Pasternak also trains Halle Berry, Megan Fox (who lost 25 pounds on the Paleo diet) and Lady Gaga.

Jessica, who has struggled with weight her entire life, confessed her baby-weight gain made her depressed and insecure. "I was so insecure; I couldn't even believe what I weighed," she said. "It is a really hard thing to go through."

'My Weight Problems Made Me Rich'

Ironically, Simpson said her weight problems are part of the reason she's so successful with her clothing line, which boasts annual sales of $1 billion. Simpson said women relate to her because she's not naturally skinny and has weight issues, just like many of them do.

“I have been every size on the planet and I understand women,” she told Forbes. “I definitely go up and down with my weight, and I'm really honest about it. If I'm five pounds heavier, if I'm 50 pounds heavier, or five pounds lighter, I just don’t think it should define who you are."

Jessica said she is glad she never caved in to the extreme pressure to resort to starvation diets or other unhealthy measures. "I was proud of myself throughout that period for not doing every crash diet and trying to get as skinny as I could, or not eating," she said.

Simpson has been engaged to former NFL star Eric Johnson since 2010. The couple has two children: daughter, Maxwell, 20 months, and son Ace, six months.
