Jessica Simpson's dramatic weight loss shocked those in attendance at the traditional annual Correspondents' Dinner at the White House in Washington on Saturday. The event brought together an impressive audience of stars, who came to listen to jokes told by Barack Obama as well as others. For the occasion, the 33 year-old singer and actor wore a black and white floor-length Carolina Herrera gown. The pretty blonde, who was on the receiving end of a joke told by comedian Joel McHale, looked absolutely divine in her long flowery dress.

According to sources with E! News, much of Jessica's weight loss was due to her constantly chasing after her toddler, Maxi, who is almost two-years-old. Simpson also explained that she often takes long walks, enjoys gardening and other outdoor activities that keep her active.

Simpson signed an endorsement deal with Weight Watchers when she was still pregnant with her first child in 2012. Simpson later became pregnant with her second child, a male named Ace, who was born in the summer of 2013. Since, Simpson has been working with the company to lose weight she gained during pregnancy.

In January, Simpson spoke with "Good Morning America" regarding her incredible weight loss and how she was criticized in the past for gaining so much weight. She said: "I just let myself have whatever I wanted, I didn't care. It wasn't about weight gain for me."

"When I was pregnant with Ace, my second, I was already on Weight Watchers, and I had already lost 50 pounds, so I wasn't as relaxed in my eating as I was with Maxwell," she explained. Continue reading: Young mouse blood may be the key to the fountain of youth, study suggests
