Jessica Simpson showed off her stunning 70-pound weight loss at the 2014 White House Correspondents Dinner in Washington April 3. Simpson wore a strapless Carolina Herrera evening gown that accentuated her slimmed-down waist and toned arms.

The buxom 5-foot-3 Jessica has shed more than 70 pounds since giving birth to son Ace in June 2013, Us reported. Simpson, a rep for Weight Watchers, has credited a low-carb diet and rigorous daily workouts for her incredible weight loss. Jessica's diet featured a mix of high-quality proteins like salmon and chicken and plenty of fresh vegetables and salads.

For exercise, the mom of two walks four to five miles every day (or 8,000 to 10,000 steps) and does yoga. Simpson also works out at the gym for 45 minutes, four days a week, with her longtime trainer Harley Pasternak, creator of the 5-Factor Workout DVD.

'I Can't Believe How Big I Got'

While Jessica looks hotter than ever, she said her true motivation to slim down stemmed from a desire to be a fitness role model for her two children. "I really do feel this need to be the best role model for my children," she said. "I want [my daughter Maxwell] to look up to me and want to be like me."

Jessica feels unstoppable now, but admits her pregnancy weight gain made her depressed and insecure. Simpson, who gained more than 70 pounds with each pregnancy, was demoralized by how big she got.

"I was so insecure; I couldn't even believe what I weighed," she told ABC News. "I don't think I ever expected to see the numbers that I've seen on the scale."

Simpson's longtime trainer, Harley Pasternak, said the foundation of Jessica's workout regimen is daily walking. Pasternak, author of The Body Reset Diet, also trains Halle Berry, Lady Gaga, and Kim Kardashian.

Pasternak and Simpson typically work out at the gym four days a week, combining 10 to 20 minutes of cardio exercise, 20 to 30 minutes of resistance training, and lots of flexibility moves.

Jessica is motivated by her desire to look amazing for her upcoming wedding to former NFL star Eric Johnson. "When you see my dress, you’ll know [why I dieted and exercised so hard]," she said.
