Jessica Simpson gives birth to Maxwell Drew Johnson

On May 1, Jessica Simpson was reported to finally be in labor and at a Los Angeles hospital ready to give birth. The celebrity has been ribbed about what seemed to be a very long pregnancy, with TMZ saying this newborn "has been 87 months in the works."

Today, Jessica was spotted at the hospital with her sister Ashlee and her mother Tina as well as both of Eric Johnson's parents. The baby apparently arrived at some point on Tuesday morning.

Although the time of birth is not reported, according to US magazine, Jessica Simpson gave birth to Maxwell Drew Johnson. The little girl weighed in at 9 lbs. 13 oz.

The baby's first name comes her maternal grandmother's middle name while Drew is Tina Simpson's maiden name.

Now that Jessica Simpson has finally given birth, she is at a hospital in the City of Angels to get her new angel ready for the world. It's a happy day for the Simpsons and the Johnsons. Congratulations are in order.
