Jessica Simpson could name her baby Ace. US Weekly revealed on Feb. 20 that the former pop star already has the name picked out. It's not known the reason behind the name.
The "Fashion Star" judge has not yet confirmed if the rumor is true. Simpson went under scrutiny last year for naming her 10-month-old daughter Maxwell Drew. The name sounded a little too masculine for her baby girl.
Jessica wanted to name her daughter Maxwell as a tribute to her family and her fiance's family. Maxwell is Eric Johnson's middle name. It's also the maiden name of Simpson's mother Tina.
Fortunately, the Jessica Simpson will be a boy this time. Ace is masculine, yet unique enough for a boy.
The 32-year-old coyly told Elle magazine that the name for her baby is a no-brainer. She said that it won't be as shocking as her daughter's name. She added that once people hear the name, they will understand.
No one understands the reason why Jessica chose Ace, if the rumor is true. It looks like that she'll have some explaining to do when the time comes. The Jessica Simpson baby will be born in spring.
