Jessica Simpson might name her baby "Ace." On Feb. 20, Us Weekly reported that Simpson and fiance, Eric Johnson, really like the name Ace -- so much so that they have chosen it as their baby boy's first name. Since naming her daughter, Maxwell Drew, many were curious what Simpson and Johnson would name their son.
"[She's] told people she's going to name the baby Ace," a source revealed. There has not been any word on a middle name, but the two will likely keep it in the family. Think "Joseph" after Simpson's dad or even "Eric" after the baby daddy himself.
Jessica Simpson is expecting her baby some time in the spring. Since her daughter's name was derived from family names -- Johnson's middle name is "Maxwell" and Jess' mother's maiden name is "Drew" -- it seems only fair that Jessica and Eric come up with something meaningful for their son too -- presuming that they are indeed having a son.
As previously reported, Simpson is rumored to be expecting a baby boy. With new details about the baby's name, the sex of the unborn child is more clear. It will be interesting to hear how Jessica and Eric arrived at their son's (supposed) name.
