Jessica Sanchez has been putting in the time on stage ever since she was on “American Idol.” The runner up of the popular reality show has been on stage performing around the country and rumors in Hollywood suggest she will be heard with new music soon. While the buzz about the tunes are delightful to hear, it appears that Sanchez is getting older too. According to the NWI Times on Monday, the “American Idol” singer is celebrating a birthday and turning 19.

Sharing her delight with the fans about the big day, she thanked her 1.4 million followers on Twitter who took time to acknowledge her special day. Of course, she was showered with kind messages as many folks feel Sanchez was one of the best contestants to hit the reality show stage in the past few years and they just love her voice. As some of the contestants just wither away, Jessica Sanchez has been slowly gaining steam and people in the music business expect to see her back on top in the very near future.

“Thank you so much for all the amazing birthday messages!!! I feel so much love today and love all of you!!!” tweeted Jessica Sanchez from her official Twitter account.

While the fans have kept an eye on her career, Jessica Sanchez has continued to push forward on her music and helping others. According to Look to the Stars, Elton John and Jessica Sanchez is on the episode of “Operation Change‏.” Going to help bring change to Malaysia, the “Idol” star steps up to give back. Accompanied by some big musical talents while on location, Jessica positively gets involved to make a difference in our world.

Is there a better way to celebrate a birthday than by giving back? Jessica Sanchez definitely offers a great reminder to everyone that giving is far greater than receiving on a birthday! And sometimes it takes a strong role model who knows the pressures of Hollywood to offer a positive perspective that can’t be ignored.

“Operation Change” can be seen on the OWN Network every week. Tune in to watch Jessica Sanchez on August 4 at 9 p.m. ET.
