Jessica Procter was crowned Miss Alabama's Outstanding Teen 2013 on Sunday, March 3 at Sylacauga High School. A total of 44 contestants competed for the title and the remaining top 5 finalists were: Jana Meeks (first runner-up), Kelsey Smith (second runner-up), Brooklyn Holt (3rd runner-up), and Mikaylah Dugans (fourth runner-up). Jessica competed as Miss West Central's Outstanding Teen and performed a Broadway vocal number for her talent. She will represent the state of Alabama at this year’s Miss America’s Outstanding Teen. The national pageant will be held August 8-18, in Orlando, Fla.
Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization is the “little sister” organization of the Miss America Scholarship Organization. The not-for-profit program has made available more than $4 million in college scholarships nationally to young women from 13 to 17 years of age.
