According to a Jan. 28 report from MMARising.com, Jessica Eye is set to fight Munah Holland on Apr. 4 at Bellator 95 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Eye confirmed the news from her official Facebook page.
"Well since I didn't get to tell you first . ;( I am fighting again April 4th against Munah Holland , this should be a good fight both strikers . Ill have ticket Info soon ;)," Eye wrote.
Eye hit the proverbial nail on the head, as both she and Holland are elite strikers with a background in boxing. MMA fans can expect the Eye vs Holland bout to be a standup slugfest with fireworks written all over it.
Eye is coming off a win over Zoila Gurgel at Bellator 83, a shocking upset victory via standing arm-choke.
As for Holland, she looks to get back in the win column after falling to Michelle "T-Cat" Ould at Bellator 74. She'll be a heavy underdog heading into the bout against Eye, as "Evil" is one of the fastest-rising flyweights in female MMA.
Bellator MMA has hinted at plans for a female flyweight tournament to crown its first women’s champion at 125 pounds, but a date for when the tournament might begin has not yet been announced.
Bellator MMA arguably has the advantage over Invicta FC when it comes to the women's flyweight division, as it is home to several of the top ten contenders in the division. Legitimate top ten contenders in the world Eye, Ould, Zoila Gurgel and Munah Holland each fighter under the Bellator MMA banner.
Bellator 95 takes place on April 4th at a venue to be determined in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
