Coming off a hard-fought decision win in her UFC debut, Jessica Eye will return to the cage at UFC 170.
The Cleveland native will take on Alexis Davis in a bantamweight fight on Feb. 22 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The main card for UFC 170 will air on pay-per-view and the undercard will air on FOX Sports 1.
UFC officials announced the fight on Monday evening.
Eye, currently ranked No. 5 in the UFC rankings, made her UFC debut in October at UFC 166. “Evil” defeated former Strikeforce champ Sarah Kaufman by split decision on the undercard.
Before coming over to the UFC, Eye was considered one of the top flyweight fighters in the world. Eye is currently riding an eight-fight win streak.
Davis is coming off a decision win over former number one contender Liz Carmouche in November. The Canadian born fighter has won seven of her last eight fights and is currently ranked No. 3 in the UFC rankings.
UFC 170 is expected to be headlined by a women’s bantamweight title fight between two former Olympians Ronda Rousey and Sara McMann. Also on the card, Daniel Cormier will make his 205 debut against Rashad Evans and Demian Maia will take on Rory MacDonald.
