Jessica Alba appears naked in her new movie, Machete: or does she?
Jessica Alba is quite famous for having said that she would never appear naked in a movie. The sort of gratuitous nudity that packs them into the popcorn seats just wasn't for her. Her work would be judged on her abilities as an actress, not her looks.
A fine and understandable thought. Yet Jessica Alba does appear naked in her new movie, Machete. So how can we reconcile these two quite different points?
The answer is that what seems to be a naked Jessica Alba is not in fact a naked Jessica Alba. Allow the Daily Star to explain:
Jessica Alba looks like she has broken her promise never to strip off for a movie role.
But her white undies in the shot were actually digitally removed in Machete.
So movie goers are offered the titillation of seeing what they think is a naked Jessica Alba without it being true that Jessica Alba has actually appeared naked.
In short, she's been photoshopped even if it wasn't actually Photoshop that was used to do the CGI work.
Mildly disappointing perhaps but artistic integrity has been upheld.
