Actor Jesse L. Martin who closely resembles Marvin Gaye will play the iconic Motown singer in director Julien Temple’s “Sexual Healing”. Deadline reported on Monday the former “Law & Order” star who had been attached to another film about the late legend, is replacing rocker-actor Lenny Kravitz who had originally been cast as Gaye in the biopic.

“Sexual Healing” is set to start filming in Europe later this month. It will focus on Gaye’s life in the early 80s as he tries to conquer his demons and reclaim his career.
