Melissa Smith -- an exotic dancer best known as the second alleged mistress to reality TV star Jesse James -- is following the trail of Michelle "Bombshell" McGee and issuing a public apology to Sandra Bullock for her affair. In a letter obtained by TMZ (which you can see here), Melissa has this to say about her actions:

"I felt I needed to reach out to you and tell you how deeply sorry I am for everything that you've been through...And I know nothing I can say in this letter is going to make the pain of my actions go away.

"...I am sorry for any hurt or pain that I have caused you.  My actions of engaging with a married man are unforgivable.  I never meant you any harm."

Jesse James and Sandra Bullock have not been spotted together since news of the affair first broke, and Jesse is still reportedly in an Arizona recovery center hoping to avoid a divorce (which is "imminent" according to some sources).

Do you think Melissa Smith is sincere in her apology? Feel free to share your thoughts below! (To view photos of Jesse and Sandra Bullock together during happier times, click here.)
